In order to schedule a conference with Elyse you need to understand and agree to all the following items:
Jessica Thompson will make all conference arrangements by email. Please do not contact Elyse about arranging a conference. After Elyse reviews your group's request with Jessica, Jessica will be contacting you and arranging a time when Elyse can be with your group. Please note that Elyse's Speaking Schedule does not show all of the requests that are presently being considered, so a date that seems open now and that you may want, may actually not be open.
Because Elyse takes seriously the call to be in her own congregation on Sunday, she will only be able to be with your group on Friday and Saturday. She flies out of San Diego Int'l Airport.
The host organization will pay for all her transportation, room and board.
Generally speaking, she only agrees to speak at conferences of 300 or more. If it appears that you will not be able to reach this number, please let Jessica know so that appropriate decisions can be made about the viability of your conference.
She does not have a set honorarium, however it seems reasonable to expect around $10 per attendee capping out at $2000. This is not a set fee, but rather a suggestion.
Elyse needs to stay in a hotel rather than in a private home.
Elyse needs to be picked up upon arrival at the airport and taken back to the airport at least one hour in advance of her outgoing flight.
When she is picked up she will need water and some sort of snack or dinner (if necessary) since she will have been flying all day.
Elyse will speak on ONE topic only in three or four sessions. She has developed materials on all of her books. Please choose a topic from the list of her books.
Jessica will send notes of her material to be copied for all attendees as well as PowerPoint within one month of the conference. Elyse needs one hour per session.
Elyse will not do any personal counseling while she is with you. Please assign a helper to her from your group to assist her in avoiding prolonged counseling conversations.
Elyse needs a lapel or over-the-ear mic and needs water (in a glass) at the podium.
Elyse's son, Joel Fitzpatrick, is in seminary. Because of this, Elyse sells her books at her conferences so that she can help him with his expenses. Jessica will arrange this with you and will send you information about our expectations for a book table.
When scheduling your conference, please remember that Elyse is on Pacific time.

Wisdom would dictate that as Elyse grows older and the demands upon her time grow as well, that changes would be made in her conference scheduling.
Please note and agree to the following BEFORE asking for a date to be scheduled:
Elyse IS NO LONGER ABLE to come to conferences of less than 350. If you do not have that many people available in your church and still want her to come, perhaps you could partner with other area churches who would help you meet that requirement. Please do not ask Elyse to make exceptions to this. Elyse now has DVD's for every one of her talks that you might consider using if you are unable to meet this requirement.
Because travel is so very taxing physically, the host church must agree to cover the cost of a traveling companion. Usually, this will be her daughter, Jessica, who will oversee her book table as well.
